The New Zealand International Film Festival - Nelson

The New Zealand International Film Festival will take place at the Suter Cinema in Nelson from September 9th - 24th 2009.

15 New Zealand cities and towns will this year host the annual International Film Festival which for the first time will relinquish its various regional names to be called the New Zealand International Film Festival.

In 2009 the NZIFF will be held in Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch, Palmerston North, Napier, Tauranga, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Nelson, Greymouth, Masterton, Levin, Gisborne and Whangarei. The Festival is operated by the New Zealand Film Festival Trust, a charitable trust established in 1996.

 

Hastings Blossom Festival 2009

The Hastings Blossom Festival is a ten day festival of the arts, September 11th - 20th, 2009.

Come to Hastings for one of two hot weekends. The first opens with a cocktail party on September 11th, then you can rock the rest of the night away with Adrienne Toner and the Dave Atkin Band.

On Saturday visit some wineries and at night see the naughty and very funny "Hot Pink Bits" by comedian, Penny Ashton. Or on the second weekend on Friday see "Hell,Man" by Helen Medlyn and Penny Dodds, visit the free Hawke's Bay Olive Festival on Saturday and later dance the light fantastic at the Blossom Dance.
