New Zealand Youth Jazz Orchestra

For the fourth successive year the New Zealand Youth Jazz Orchestra will perform in concert at the Expressions Arts and Entertainment Centre. This concert will be the first in a short North Island concert tour being undertaken by the orchestra.

Selected by a New Zealand wide audition, this exceptionally talented group of musicians including vocalists represents the best of New Zealand's young jazz musicians.

The orchestra's programme will feature a wide selection of big band jazz material in traditional and contemporary styles. As demonstrated in past years, the concert promises to be a great evening's entertainment for the whole family.



World Deaf Squash Championships

World Deaf Squash Championships

Deaf squash players from around the world converge on Palmerston North to compete in the 5th World Deaf Squash Championships. Play begins on Monday 4 October and continues through until Sunday 10 October.

All games take place at SquashGym, Linton Street, Palmerston North. Entry for spectators is free of charge, and supporters are encouraged to check out the action!


 

Wanakafest 2010

A food and wine fair, with some of central Otago's famous wines and delicious foods, is a great way to spend the day while listening to some fantastic free music on the lake front.

Not only will you be having a great time but any profit made from the festival goes straight back into the Wanaka communtiy where the Wanakafest trust strives to provide facilities for the whole community to enjoy.
