Edsports HB Primary School Triathlon Champs

Calling all budding young triathletes, your school can enter teams and individuals into the Hawke's Bay Primary School Triathlon Champs.
2008 was the first ever EdSports Hawke's Bay Primary Schools Triathlon Championship. It was a huge success with over 450 children taking part. We did not expect such a great response for the first year and with another 438 this year we were ready for them all and the two event format worked really so will be replicated in 2010.
Waiuku Film Expo 2010

Franklin's Festival of short film and digital media, the Waiuku Film Expo is a non-profit event aimed at creating a digital media community within Franklin by bringing together local film-makers and digital media artists and showcasing there work on the big screen for one night only in the historic Waiuku Town Hall "Cinema" in November 2010.
It's a great opportunity to show and see so much of Franklin's local talents, we had a lot of really good films in 2009 from artists of all ages and were all looking forward to seeing what's in store for 2010.
Rotary Walk for Survival

Dawn walk starts at Chelsea Primary School, down walkway from school, along Chelsea View Drive, Porritt Ave, Blundell Place then via tracks and board walk through the bush to Chelsea Sugar Works with transport back to the school for anyone who has walked enough.
Walk continues up road and tracks towards cliff then out to Otetaunga Road and back to Chelsea School. Walk approximately 5 km.
Breakfast will be available at Chelsea School from 6.00am to 7.00am for $15 per person with prior booking essential. Profits from the walk will be distributed to charity groups.
Lil' Ian Goodsman and Pink Champagne

UK blues guitar maestro Lil' Ian Goodsman is coming back to NZ in November and will be playing gigs around the North Island.
Ian has been in the UK for a year playing in major festivals including the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival in Colne, Lancashire along with Peter Green, Georgie Fame, Omar and the Howlers and Larry Garner - both of the US. This is the biggest festival in the UK . He is also playing in Singapore at the Crazy Elephant on the way to NZ.
