Aotea Regional Kapa Haka Competition 2010

The Aotea Regional Kapa Haka competition will showcase the traditional-contemporary performing arts presented by the tribal groups of the Aotea region.
This prestigious competition will see the groups competing for the honour of representing Aotea at the Te Matatini National Kapa Haka competition in 2011.
Te Matatini is the world's largest celebration of Maori Performing Arts. Kapa Haka groups from all over New Zealand and Australia compete for the "best of the best" crown, in the traditional performance disciplines of Haka, Poi and Waiata.

The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra celebrates the bicentennial of both Chopin and Schumann in fitting form. Peter Jablonski's performances of Chopin's piano concertos have electrified audiences across Europe, with critics hailing his artistry and musical insight. Roy Goodman's interpretation of Schumann symphonies are regarded as definitive, conveying the full spirit and drama of this great composer.

The Auckland Blues play the Waikato Chiefs in this game of the 2010 Rebel Sport Super 14 Rugby Competition in Auckland.
The Super 14 is the southern hemisphere's top international club rugby championship. Four teams from Australia, five teams from New Zealand and five teams from South Africa play against each other over a period of fourteen weeks from February May 2010.
Teams are awarded points for winning a match and additional bonus points for scoring four or more tries in a match, or for losing by seven or fewer points. The top four teams after the regular season progress on to the semi finals.
The Bulls ( South Africa) are the current super 14 champions, defeating the Waikato Chiefs in the 2009 final.
